JJ Camoys Boer goats are situated in the beautiful village of Barcombe in the heart of East Sussex, at Camoys Court Farm locally known as ‘Cornwells Farm’. “We established the herd in 2016 with the acquisition of our first 3 goats, quickly followed by 9 more and by our first kidding season in December of the same year. The herd now has grown to 53 100% pedigree Boer goats managed and owned by Jackie Cornwell and Joao Guimaraes. This new venture started with the wish to address diversity and appropriate land use. Herd welfare is paramount to us. Our goats are part of the SAC ‘accredited high health status scheme’. Our aim is to produce outstanding animals for both meat and breeding. The goats are fed grass and forage produced on the farm to ensure quality and sustainability. Goats remain our passion and we trust you will enjoy our endeavour”.
Neck chops are prepared from a bone-in neck. Because they’re made up of working muscle, they have plenty of connective tissue. This cut is best suited to moist, low and slow cooking methods, which break down the connective tissue, imparting flavour while tenderising the meat.
